What do you need to win on price and quality?
Price lower or score more on quality: you see what it takes. Pick the scoring method you recognise, enter your bid and what you expect from the competition.
WHAT DO YOU DO WITH IT?
A 70/30 split says little on its own
Many companies look at the split between quality and price, and stop there. But two tenders with the same 70/30 split can work out completely differently. What matters is the calculation underneath: how fast you lose points when you are more expensive, how the quality is split across questions, and how many points each score gives.
Sometimes that even gives you room to bid higher. If you expect to score a step higher on a heavy question anyway, the method may make up for a higher price. Sometimes it is the other way round, and price decides as soon as quality is close.
Two worked examples are in price and quality: why 70/30 does not mean what you think.
